RE: H2 runs BMW!

first race, yeah.. but it got killed in the second race.
Rook what I was looking at was a display of power only. Same two guys were doing roll on races when both bikes were stock. H2 Lost.
But, Now that the H2 has had the Full Guhl treatment with light weight pipes ?,,,,, Was thinking the BMW should not even to be able to hang in. Had the front wheel of the BMW wheel not lift ???
Lol, I made mention over on the other thread and posted the same link. Not one person mentioned the differences in rider's weight being a factor.(The Rider on the Bimmer weighs in at a whopping 85 lbs Less) H2 owners launched in defense of their baby girls,,, as they should but missed this point.
I have been looking for the owner who bought the H2 and decides it's not the bike for him. Then maybe I will be the New owner.
What's bothering me is ,,,, I know I could place a Turbo on that New ZX10 and run that H2 down at will. While the H2 guys are waiting for supercharged Boost based on RPM a small billet wheeled Garrett GTX2860 will be spooled up and Goooone. Who wants to play lol
The tech coming out for the these new bikes is Awesome. Love it.
Still think Grn should sell me his Bike. Must be worn out by now ?

There has to be a line where the laws of physics don't jive with all that power and so little weight. If the bikes are wheeling too much to race, I'd say we're about there. that's why TC and wheelie control have become standard equipment on a lot of bikes now. Of course, I know there is no end to the quest for power so there will be no end to the quest to make that power useable.

Romans, I'm looking at the two videos posted on this thread and I'm sure that is the same Cleveland H2 in both(probably). The guy on the H2 is a hefty dude. Look at the video in the OP of this thread. The Bimmer rider is skinny in the vid you posted and I remember having the same impressions from the old videos. Are you sure it's not the bimmer owner that is 85 lbs lighter than the H2 guy? Looks that way to me.

Maybe you and green could have a race. He might be persuaded to sell and then I would think he'd be able to buy a heck of a turbo setup for the 14R. One thin you can't overlook about the H2 is that its boost is all set and ready to go. No tuning no fuss just a pipe and a flash and you have a bimmer killer.
....but why not boost an S1000? Would it really make a dif given the current TC technology makes the bike have less power as you try to give it MORE power?

???? Yes for sure it's the BMW rider that weighs less. That's what I'm saying. To me in the defense of the H2 the owners always seem to miss that point. Which is why I brought it up. For fun of it would have been nice if they switched bikes. Most guys not into that,,, I get it.
Maybe you and green could have a race.
Man would I love that. Start at 60mph Shut down at 200. Not really a race I know but most definitely a great show of power. I'll give him a good head start. That will give a clear understanding of how fast a boosted 14 can run down most comers. None of this creeping by shit like in that bimmer video You have to see it or ride it to understand. The boosted 14 has Wicked wicked torque early in the RPM window.

Oh ya, BMW killer for sure. Love that bike, but there will always be fuss once you start upping RPM looking for more boost on the H2. Tuning needs to be bang on. Would always bothered me if I did not Test the tune on my bike my fuel my elevation with my mods. Just too damn risky for this guy. Boost plays for keeps.
Looking forward to riding a H2 Sooooon I hope.
As far as boosting a BMW s1000 I think that would be nice too. Expensive bike to start out with though and it's Not a Kawi so just won't do lol.
After I'm done dreaming about other bikes I keep coming back to the 14. She loves her mods, easy to work on and goes like hell. Yet, If I was being granted one bike wish. It would have been that Kawi put that 1498 jet ski motor in our frame. Then I boost that,,,,, then I woke up lol. A man has to have dreams. Maybe next gen ?

Valid point Rook. Yet sometimes having more power then you can use properly can be a shit load of fun. You know, if you want a rush all that's needed is just a quick twist of the wrist to do a wheelie or a burn out or a drift, whatever you're into at the time. Just have fun. This is my Game. Bike must must be Fun. when gets boring we up the power.

We have to look at some sort of standard of comparison too. take two stock H2s (A and 1) and run them against each other. They should pretty much be the same as far as terms of acceleration. Now through a -1/+2 on A and run them again. A out accelerates 1 but of course has a slightly lower top speed. Is an H2 faster than an H2? See what I'm saying?

See what I'm saying?
I do,,,,
First and foremost what is the End Game we are looking for in this test. Like you said Both stock Bikes should be close to the same. For that matter, even the flashed bike should be close to the same. Only difference we should see is in the over rev where the increased boost comes to play.
I would think -1 with plus 2 rear would be impossible to lay down any numbers with stock swingarm. Rider skill playing a major role as well. So is a H2 faster than a H2. Lots of variables now.
Maybe a better test would be Time To Distance Tuning on the dyno.

What always amazes me is how competitive the stock BMW is, much as I don't care for that machine I never fail to be impressed by how quick it is right out of crate.
